
Dr. Patrick McCormick
Dr. Patrick McCormick is the Director of Choral Activities at Prattville High School in
Prattville, Alabama. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Music from Birmingham
Southern College, a Master of Arts Degree in Music Education from the University of Alabama,
a Specialist Degree in Music Education from Auburn University, and a Doctor of Philosophy
Degree in Music Education from Auburn University. Music became a significant part of his life
in junior high school when his music teacher instilled in him a passion for choral music. Music
has facilitated numerous opportunities for Dr. McCormick to perform with academic and
professional choirs in several unique places, including the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris,
France, and Saint Mark’s Basilica in Venice, Italy.
In addition, Dr. McCormick has had the opportunity to play the roles of Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods, the Beast in Beauty and the Beast, and the Wolf in The Children's Opera Little Red Riding Hood. Dr. McCormick has received numerous vocal awards, including being named a Whittington Competition (Finalist), NATS Competition (Semi-Finalist), Literary Regional Soloist Champion, and Literary State Soloist Finalist. Dr. McCormick has been married to his beautiful wife Kaitlyn for over 11 years. They have two beautiful boys, Madison (6) and Middleton (1).
